Star Chickweed

Star Chickweed
Stellaria pubera

The Star Chickweed, Stellaria pubera, is also known as the Giant or Great Chickweed, because of its large flowers as compared to the smaller flowers of the Common Chickweed. The Star Chickweed is found in rich woodlands during early springtime months throughout Pittsylvania County.
